Mexico is a land of stunning beaches, ancient ruins, rich history and amazing food. It has something for almost everyone. And it offers a wide range of accommodations, including luxury, high-end hotels. Here’s a look at a variety of options in some of Mexico’s idyllic destinations.
Riviera Maya
This slice of land on the western edge of the Caribbean is famous for its wondrous, ancient temples and white sand beaches. Etéreo, Auberge Resorts Collection is set in a protected mangrove forest along a pristine stretch of the Caribbean Sea. The resort’s accommodations offer many oceanfront or ocean-view rooms. Its spa treatments are inspired by ancient healing practices, including the use of Mayan jade and obsidian in hot stone massage.
Hotel Xcaret Mexico, a high-end resort that offers food from every state in the country, is the first in the region to offer access to all the parks operated by Grupo Xcaret. The parks include an aquarium, butterfly garden, snorkeling area, jet boats and much more.

Cancun
About 50 miles north, the Hyatt Ziva Cancun offers relaxing furnished balconies with views of the Caribbean in well-appointed, yet affordable, rooms compared to many luxury brands. It features its own microbrewery, sweet shop and 17 restaurants, lounges and bars with everything from Asian cuisine to French fare to Italian dishes to American classics.
Los Cabos
Located on swimmable Medano Beach, the moderately priced Corazón Cabo Resort & Spa features two oceanfront infinity pools, a beach club and the highest rooftop pool in the region. Many rooms have great views of the ocean and rugged seaside cliffs.
Chileno Bay Resort & Residences, Auberge Resorts Collection, is a contemporary resort built along a protected cove on one of Los Cabos’ only swimmable beaches. You can enjoy fun activities, like snorkeling in coral reefs and horseback riding through desert canyons. It also features a spa, a three-tiered infinity pool and innovative takes on regional flavors at its restaurants.

Punta de Mita
Nestled on the Pacific coast of Puerto Vallarta, Punta de Mita and Riviera Nayarit are a relaxed, less crowded alternative to Mexico’s better known resort areas. The St. Regis Punta de Mita Resort has completed a major renovation that will see newly styled guest rooms and suites, as well as upgrades to its swimming pools, Las Marietas Restaurant & Bar and outdoor spaces.
Susurros del Corazón, Auberge Resorts Collection, is tucked into jungle-covered cliffs on a beautiful stretch of beach. The resort features guest rooms and villas with stunning garden and ocean views which are ideal for relaxing with friends and family.
