Day 1: Bogotá

¡Bienvenido a Colombia! Upon your arrival at El Dorado International Airport in Bogotá, pass through customs and meet an Adventures by Disney representative who will help you with your luggage and take you to your prearranged transportation for the ride to your hotel.

Enter one of Bogotá's well-known markets and marvel at the vibrant colors, the aromas of fresh fruits and flowers and, of course, an array of regional flavors to savor. Wander the magnificent stalls, soaking up the sights and mingling with the locals and vendors.
Historic City Center Walking Tour
Experience the beauty and rich history of Bogotá on this privately guided tour that brings its stories to life through the sites you'll see, including the Plaza Choro de Queveldo, Plaza Bolivar, the Presidential Gardens and the amazing street art by local artists throughout the city.
Arepa Class & Lunch
Put your culinary skills to the test during a private cooking class where you'll learn how to make arepas, the classic South American food that has been around since Pre-Columbian times. Museo del Oro Visit
Tour the Pre-Columbian art made from gold and other alloys by native tribes over 500 years ago. The museum is home to over 54,000 pieces of art, including the Muisca raft which inspired stories of the legendary El Dorado—the city of gold.

Take a commercial flight to Armenia in the heart of Colombia's coffee region.
Coffee Farm Experience & Tasting
Following your arrival in Armenia, head to a local coffee farm to get a firsthand look at the process for growing, harvesting and roasting the beans used to create one of the world's most popular beverages. During the experience, you'll have the opportunity to enjoy a tasting of the farm's single origin coffee (or chocolate for non-coffee drinkers).
Lunch at Coffee Farm
Enjoy a traditional homemade lunch typical of the mountain regions and local coffee fincas, while surrounded by the coffee plants that Colombia is so well known for.

Cocora Valley Hike
Hike through a truly magical landscape that encapsulates the very essence of Colombia. With its rolling, verdant hills teeming with towering wax palms trees (Colombia's national tree) and the Andean foothills rising from layers of mist in the distance—it's no wonder this stunning setting was one of the locations the filmmakers of Disney Animation's Encanto visited during their trip to Colombia to experience the country's famous "magical realism," as coined by literary greats like Gabriel García Márquez, which became the foundation for the film's story. Marvel at the expansive views and participate in the preservation of the area.

After working up an appetite following your hike, stop into a local restaurant that specializes in dishes specific to this region, while steeping you in the lives of the locals.
Orientation Tour of Salento
Take a short, privately guided walking tour designed as an orientation of the town of Salento, known for colorful architecture and bustling small streets.
On Your Own Time in Salento
Put your new knowledge of this Andean town to good use as you walk the streets and peruse the storefronts in search of the perfect souvenir. And if you find yourself needing a pick-me-up, just stop in at one of the local coffee shops for a latte or hot chocolate—and be sure to admire the barista's foam art skills.
Learn to Play Tejo
Immerse yourself in local life and learn to play Tejo, Colombia's national game where you throw a small metal puck at a clay target with gunpowder poppers to earn points.

Culinary Adventure of Centro Historico
Continue to understand this vibrant country as you savor its many flavors that are as diverse as the people who call Colombia home. Tour Cartagena's historic walled city on a privately guided tour where you'll experience firsthand more of the inspirations behind Disney Animation's Encanto—much of which can be found in the city's food. Throughout the tour, enjoy different sweet and savory treats as a progressive dinner experience, highlighting such landmarks as the Portal de Los Dulces and the Monumento Torre del Reloj bookstore.
Rum & Chocolate Tasting

Proyecto Tití Visit
Learn about this important organization, sponsored by the Disney Conservation Fund, which helps to protect and conserve the natural habitat of the native cotton-top tamarins. Activities include:- Cotton-Top Tamarin Hike: Trek through the forests in search of these critically endangered primates as you learn how the teams track and monitor the families to ensure growth and health. While tamarin sightings are very likely, they are not guaranteed.
- Artisan Demonstration: Learn from the local women's cooperative that upcycle plastic bags into eco-mochilas (tote bags) and other fashionable items that are a source of alternative income. The bags also help fund Proyecto Tití conservation initiatives, while additionally cleaning up local villages of plastic trash.
- Planting Activity: Help a local farmer plant some of the tamarin's favorite plants.♦♦
Following your hike in the dry tropical forest, enjoy a fresh, locally sourced lunch with your fellow Adventurers.
San Felipe de Barajas Fort
Marvel at San Felipe de Barajas Fort, one of the largest Spanish colonial fortresses and a true engineering wonder. Built in 1536 and strategically located high atop the Hill of San Lázaro, the fortress stood watch over the city of Cartagena from pirates approaching by land or sea.
Getsemani Neighborhood Exploration
Explore the vibrant streets of this lively neighborhood that was once known as a home for the working class but has become a hub of art and culture in Cartagena. Bask in the beauty of the many colorful murals, decorative displays and art installations by local artists on display throughout the neighborhood.

Continue your exploration of the city of Cartagena, strolling the cobblestone streets and checking out the shops and restaurants in the colorful buildings that surround you. Snorkeling Along the Rosario Islands
Journey to the stunning Rosario Islands and spend a truly magical morning snorkeling the brilliant blue waters and shallow reefs teeming with 1,300 species of colorful marine animals, plants and coral. Or, if you prefer, simply relax and soak up some sun and island vibes.
Lunch at Local Restaurant on Barú Island
Head back to shore and enjoy a bite at a local hotel restaurant along the water before soaking up a bit more sun.
Afternoon On Your Own
Continue your exploration of the city of Cartagena by taking in any final sights or shopping for those last few souvenirs in the charming streets that surround you.
You may also head back to the hotel and take advantage of the amenities available, including a pool, garden areas and even a crypt that inspired Gabriel García Márquez to write the book Of Love and Other Demons.

♦♦All Guests are required to wear long-sleeved shirts, long pants and closed-toe shoes to participate in the forest and/or perimeter walks. Guests must be at least 8 years old to participate in the forest hike. Children aged 5-7 can do a perimeter walk and participate in other activities, but they will not likely see any tamarins. Children must be supervised by a guardian, but guardians can take turns in order to both have the opportunity to participate in a hike.
