Hotel Description
This unique horseshoe-shaped island paradise boasts virgin tropical rainforest and white-sand beaches. Matangi was featured in the book “1,000 Places To See Before You Die” and has been voted one of the “Top 10 Private Islands in the World” by ISLANDS magazine. This private island hideaway has nine bures and three unique tree houses. The resort offers a romantic beach resort experience with fine dining, spa services and scuba diving. Guests 16 years and older are welcome.
Meal-inclusive promotions include three meals per day, coffee and tea, homemade cookies, pre-dinner hors d'oeuvres, evening turndown service, complimentary laundry service, custom Matangi tote bag by Rise Beyond the Reef, sweet treats from the chef and a welcome note from the Matangi family. Weather permitting; activities include a daily snorkeling excursion, guided kayaking tours, guided hikes, volleyball and catamaran sailing. Once a week, cultural activities are offered, such as kava tasting, coconut husking as well as cooking demonstrations, traditional Fijian dancing, a village tour and Sunday church services.

Matangi Dining: Your stay includes three meals per day and are served in a traditional Fijian complex with 270-degree views of the pristine ocean and landscaped tropical gardens. Exotic meals provide an array of fresh fish and seafood caught by local fishermen, imported meats, salads, locally grown vegetables, tropical fruit from surrounding gardens, freshly baked breads and sumptuous desserts. Menus are created daily. Special dietary needs are gladly accommodated with advanced notice.
