Royal Caribbean Recently, Royal Caribbean launched its 28th cruise ship in its operating fleet. Utopia of the Seas is the world’s second largest cruise ship (Royal Caribbean’s Icon of the Seas holds the title of the largest) and it is the sixth ship in Royal Caribbean’s Oasis Class. Currently it does three- and four-night sailings from Port Canaveral, Florida (near Orlando) with stops in the Bahamas. There’s so much to do onboard Utopia of the Seas, you’ll quickly find yourself booking multiple sailings with Costco Travel to experience it all!

With Meghan Trainor as the Godmother of Utopia of the Seas, you are correct to conclude that “party vibe" is the theme aboard this ship. From sun up to sun down, there’s no room for boredom on Utopia. If you enjoy bar hopping, this vibrant vessel has you covered with 13 bars and lounges, including the Lime & Coconut - a two-level bar featuring island-themed libations, pulsating music from a DJ or live music from a Calypso band.

And you certainly should experience the expertly themed Pesky Parrot bar which is located on the Royal Promenade. It features a resident parrot named “Brian", who entertains guests as they enjoy tropical beverages in a Tiki-lounge setting.

The non-alcoholic entertainment is just as flashy and fun. Spend some time enjoying video games and more in the ship’s arcade. Pick up your heartbeat a bit on the three unique waterslides at The Perfect Storm or two record-breaking dry slides at The Abyss. Try out some ice skating at Studio B, rock climbing, miniature golf, Flowrider surfing and so much more!

Once Utopia docks for its Perfect Day at CocoCay - Royal Caribbean’s private island in the Bahamas - you and your friends can continue your adventures at Thrill Waterpark. Careen down a collection of unique waterslides, with Daredevil’s Peak (the tallest waterslide in the Caribbean at 135 feet) and the Screeching Serpent speed slide, as just two of the exciting options.

When it comes to dining onboard Utopia of the Seas, Royal Caribbean didn’t skimp at all! The ship has 24 eateries, including innovative and flavorful sushi and teppanyaki at Izumi in the Park or delicious and authentic cuisine that is reflective of America’s South at The Mason Jar. Your palate will brim with excitement at all of the well-curated gastronomic offerings.
And when you finally turn in for the night, Utopia of the Seas has a variety of options to satisfy the wishes of every one of its guests. From the Deluxe Ocean-View Balcony staterooms to the two-story 2,475-square foot Ultimate Family Suite, comfort and modernity are paramount in these thoughtfully designed accommodations. Of all of the amazing rooms and suites aboard the Utopia, my absolute favorite are the Solarium Suites. Located atop the Navigation Bridge Wings, Utopia’s two 840-square foot Solarium Suites provide spacious and upscale living spaces, plus commanding 280-degree ocean-views off of the ship’s 14th deck. These rooms also have direct access to the ship’s adults-only Solarium and can accommodate up to 4 guests (ideal for couples and families with older teenagers). Other perks for the Solarium Suites include a Royal Genie, complimentary specialty dining throughout the ship (including Coastal Kitchen), an unlimited drinks package, as well as upgraded bedding and bathroom amenities. They are so much more than the average cruise suite!
