You might think that rental cars fall into one of two categories: either functional, like a MiniVan or Standard SUV, or fun, like a Sports Car or a Jeep Wrangler. Costco Travel now offers a few additional categories, whether you are looking to rent an adventure vehicle to go over the mountain pass, are interested in reducing your carbon footprint with an electric or hybrid car, or hitting the road in style with a luxury car. Here are some examples of the new car category types and some of the destinations you might find them. Please note that availability can change by location and travel date.

4-Door Jeep Wrangler

Porsche Panamera

Los Angeles, California
What do movie stars, rock musicians and mega athletes have in common? They call Los Angeles, California home. How better to take in the beautiful California coast than in a Standard Convertible or a Luxury Specialty car? Look your best on Rodeo Drive in a BMW 7 Series, a Mercedes Benz S Class, or a Porsche Panamera (or similar).

Ford F-150

Houston, Texas
Houston, Texas attracts visitors with a winning mix of world-class arts, local shopping, and delectable cuisine. Feel at home in Texas renting a Fullsize Pickup like a Ford F150 or similar, these pickups offer plenty of space for four people and a ton of cargo space in the back, allowing for all the trappings of a fabulous Texas getaway.
