Day 2: Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia

Sugar Moon Farm Visit & Lunch
Indulge your senses in the magic of maple as you start the day with a visit to Sugar Moon Farm, where you'll learn about the process that brings syrup from tree to table. Then, you'll get to savor the flavors of Nova Scotia—including syrup tapped on site—at a delicious brunch before continuing your trip to Prince Edward Island.
Ferry to Prince Edward Island
Your journey along the Trans-Canada Trail continues as you board a ferry that will take you from Caribou, Nova Scotia to Wood Islands, Prince Edward Island.
Wood Islands Lighthouse Visit
Disembark the ferry and discover the charm of Wood Island Lighthouse, one of Prince Edward Island's oldest and most picturesque lighthouses. Perched on the southern coast, this historic beacon offers breathtaking of the Northumberland Strait and is the perfect spot to fly a kite. Orwell Corner Experience
Get your hands dirty learning about the charm and spirit of 19th-century Prince Edward Island through the farm life of author Lucy Maud Montgomery's childhood. Ride a horse-drawn carriage through the forests and fields, test your skills as a blacksmith and even learn like Anne—the heroine in Montgomery's renowned novel, "Anne of Green Gables"—in a historic schoolhouse.
Lunch & On Your Own Time Avonlea Village
Stroll the streets of Avonlea Village, a replica of the quaint community at the heart of the "Anne of Green Gables" stories. Avonlea—the fictitious name Lucy Maud Montgomery gave to Cavendish—is home to historic buildings from the author's life, including the original schoolhouse she taught in and the 1872 Historic Long River Church, in addition to replications of houses and shops from the time of the novels.
Then, tantalize your taste buds with a delicious lunch of regionally inspired lobster rolls and bistro-style fare at one of the locally owned restaurants you discover during your exploration or ask your Adventure Guides for a recommendation.
Green Gables Heritage Place Tour
Continue your "Anne of Green Gables" exploration with a self-guided tour of the Green Gables Heritage Place. Wander the farmhouse and enjoy a walk on "Lovers Lane" or "The Haunted Wood"—which are some of the real-world locations that inspired Lucy Maud Montgomery's classic novels. Whether you're a fan of the books or simply looking to experience history, this nostalgic place offers an enchanting journey into one of Canada's most cherished cultural treasures.
Cavendish Beach Exploration

Take in the tranquil scenery that seamlessly blends the industrial marvel of the Confederation Bridge with the marshes that signify the beginning of the Trans-Canada Trail's path westward.
Shediac Lobster Boat Experience & Lunch
Cruise the calm waters of Shediac Bay while learning about the sustainable and responsible fishing practices used to protect the local environment and lobster populations. You'll also hear stories from experts, who will share tips and tricks for preparing your own delectable lobster meal.

Spend the morning immersed in the culture and traditions of the Mi'kmaq people through workshops and ceremonies that will bring the story of this proud nation to life.
• Tour of the Cultural Heritage Center: Learn the story of the Mi'kmaq people through their traditions and rich history.
• Private Discussion: Engage in a private discussion about the current culture and experiences of the Mi'kmaq people.
• Talking Stick Workshop: Discover the significance of the talking stick and its history as an instrumental tool in keeping order and teaching respect for others. During this workshop, you will select your own stick and personalize it using beads, paint, natural leather ties and feathers to make it your own.

During your exploration of the Salt Marsh, Junior Adventurers will be keeping a sharp eye on the environment around them as they participate in a wildlife and special sights scavenger hunt.
Lunch & Early Afternoon On Your Own in Halifax
Venture out into Halifax to discover a new favorite place for a delicious lunch. Dine along the waterfront at local cafés and bistros whose dishes can only be enhanced by the breeze off the harbor.
After lunch, enjoy the serenity of the Halifax Public Gardens or find inspiration at any of the local art installments as you explore the city.
Private After-Hours Tour of the Halifax Citadel and Farewell Dinner
Ascend to the peak of Downtown Halifax and the storied Halifax Citadel. Learn about the Halifax's importance for the region's security and trade alongside a Scottish Highlander during this after-hours experience.
